Time to Organize Unused Subscriptions

How many subscriptions are you signed up for? Most people probably don’t keep track of all of them. Subscriptions have become so common that it’s easy to forget about the ones you’re not actively using.

iPhone App Subscriptions Are Easy to Manage

Checking app subscriptions on iPhone is simple. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad, tap your account icon, and select “Subscriptions.”

You’ll see a list of active and canceled subscriptions. To cancel an app, tap it and select “Cancel Subscription.” For monthly plans, the subscription will end within a month; for annual plans, it will end within a year.

For Non-App Store Subscriptions

For subscriptions not through the App Store, like Adobe Creative Cloud or Microsoft 365, you’ll need to cancel on each service’s website.

It’s helpful to review your credit card statements for a year to identify any recurring charges you might not remember. For example, I had a Microsoft 365 Business Standard subscription. When I hosted my blog on AWS, I needed Exchange Online to receive domain-related emails. However, since switching to WordPress.com Business, I no longer use it.

In Conclusion

Some subscriptions were signed up for in a rush and barely used, while others became unnecessary due to changing circumstances. To avoid wasting money, regularly ask yourself, “Do I really need this subscription?”

Subscriptions are like fixed annual expenses, so cutting them down can make a big difference in your budget.
